Justine K. Fanarof, JD, MPH, RYT 500 has been teaching yoga since 2004. Justine has extensive experience teaching a range of students and excels at creating a warm and welcoming yoga practice and learning environment where each student is met with care and attention.

When you come to Justine’s yoga class you will be met by an accepting, caring, heart-focused and experienced teacher who holds space for her students’ range of personal practice experience, hear devotional and/or world music and experience chanting, breathwork/pranayama, a range of physical postures/asana and meditation.

Justine’s teaching style is supportive. She encourages contemplation, curiosity, self-care, self-practice, rest, relaxation, peace, poise, kindness, balance, acceptance, love, joy, expansion, breath and wellness in her students and the sangha/community in which we collectively and individually exist.

Justine practices and teaches using ancient and contemporary philosophical texts, mantra, chanting and kirtan in the bhakti/devotional traditions, humor (a joke a day keeps the prana at play), meditation and sacred pause, music (sweet music) and purposeful presence.

In 2004 Justine completed both a yearlong teacher-training course with Robert Boustany and Forrest Yoga Teacher Training. Her initial yoga studies began with Heather Onori at the Forrest Yoga Circle on 16th and Montana St. in Santa Monica, CA. She has additional and ongoing training with beloved teachers including Angela Farmer, Ana Forrest, Stephanie Snyder, Maricarmen Wilson, Michael Stone, Ian Bocio and Krishna Das.
