Jessica came to yoga, as a teenager, through the wonders of VHS technology and occasional classes at the private health and racquet club where she worked. Through the years her practice was on again/off again until a car accident and subsequent series of misdiagnosed issues left Jessica struggling and seeking help. She sought out the support of a yoga studio and has been firmly on her mat ever since.
Jessica’s focus is on slow, safe, accessible, alignment-based practices with a dose of deep rest, somatics, and connective tissue work for greater range of motion through which students are able to find ease and connection to their breath.
Jessica attained her 200 hr RYT certification through Svasta Yoga School in Houston, Tx and has gone on to complete several additional trainings including: Transformational Restful Yoga for “Every” Body & Yoga Therapeutics with Melissa Smith, Yin Yoga with Rhia Robinson at Houston Yoga Collective, Expedition Balance with Carl Salazar, Reiki Level One and various workshops with the likes of Melina Meza, Kristina Keller, Rod Stryker and Christina Sell. Jessica feels that every student she interacts with and every training she attends offers her an opportunity to learn something. She loves sharing this practice with others, especially being able to welcome new yogis into the fold and help them find their path.
